For developers experiencing prefab construction for the first time, the speed at which a cottage structure can be erected — sometimes a complete structural shell in a single working day — is genuinely remarkable.
But on-site installation is only the beginning of the construction sequence. The structural frame erection is followed by the roof installation, the external envelope completion, the MEP services installation, the internal finishes and the external works — a sequence that, while dramatically faster than equivalent RCC construction, still requires careful coordination, competent trades and systematic quality management.
